MakaiLay is a software that performs monitoring and control of cable laying based on a PC.
MakaiOceanEngineering provides three software programs.

[MakaiPlan]
MakaiPlan is a software that specializes in functions related to cable route planning, such as determining which type of cable to use for laying, and considering the seabed terrain conditions and avoidance of existing cables. As the final output, it generates a list of submarine cable positions, known as RPL.

[MakaiPlanPro]
MakaiPlanPro is a software that simulates the cable route planning to ensure its feasibility, and generates Ship Plans (routes, speed, cable payout rate) accordingly. This software has a feature to calculate the underwater cable shape, which can determine how the ship should be operated to ensure ideal cable conditions on the seabed. As the final output, it generates a detailed Ship Plan (position, speed, payout rate, and others).

[MakaiLay]
MakaiLay uses the Ship Plans created by MakaiPlanPro to control and monitor cable laying operations on the ship. It enables real-time modifications of Ship Plans to support unexpected changes in ship speed, cable payout rate, and route.
